DevFest 2021, powered by Google, was held on 18 December 2021 at NUST with the topic ‘Unlocking Pakistan’s Digital Potential’. The event included remarkable speeches from a renowned Googler, an informative discussion on unlocking Pakistan’s Digital Potential, and a Spotlight Talk on Android 12. The primary aim of this event was to bring together a large group of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs for collaborative learning and to leverage the shared experience of young professionals and students; in order to create and build on top of the striving technological ecosystem of Pakistan. Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Senator Shibli Faraz, was the Chief Guest of the event. Pro Rector Research, Innovation and Commercialisation, Dr. Rizwan Riaz and Principle NUST School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan were also present in the event.
Google Developer Groups Islamabad (GDG Islamabad), in partnership with Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited and Women Techmakers Islamabad, hosted the most anticipated annual flagship event, DevFest 2021 at NUST H-12. This was a community-run one-day developer conference that aimed to bring together students, professionals, and industry specialists from across the world under one roof for presentations, hands-on learning with Google experts, and learning more about the existing as well as updated Google technologies.
It gives us immense pleasure to announce that our talented team participated in the DevFest 2021 and showcased NCSAEL projects. By the grace of Allah Almighty, Chief Guest, Syed Shibli Faraz, Federal Minister for Science and Technology took interest in the projects and appreciated the achievements of NCSAEL. During the Chief Guest’s visit to NCSAEL’s stall, Pro Rector NUST highlighted the achievement of MoU signed between FIA and NUST due the commendable efforts of NCSAEL. The quality of our work and the skills of the team have generally always spoken for themselves and being recognized for them on a national level only proves them further. We are motivated to work harder than ever to bring home more laurels in the near future.
